COSTS

Our fees are based upon the recommendations of the AMA and have no relationship to Medicare rebates. The Medicare rebate is an arrangement that exists between the government and the patient and has been formulated without consultation with us. Dr Sullivan does not participate in any Gap Cover schemes. Fees for consultations are payable in full at the time of consultation.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, EFT-POS or cash. Please be aware Workers' Compensation matters will require approval prior to any consultation. We will not make appointments for consultations until written approval is received by us from your insurance company. Obtaining approval is your responsibility, we will provide assistance if we can. Should it be necessary for you to have surgery, you will be provided with a quote which will give you an estimate of how much you will receive back from Medicare and your private health fund, which is usually cover up to the Medicare schedule fee and how much gap you will need to pay.

We will provide you information regarding who to contact regarding anaesthetist fees and you will need to talk to the hospital or day surgery until about their costs. Please understand that their costs are your responsibility and that we have no affiliation with the anaesthetists or hospitals in relation to their charges.

We operate a private-only orthopaedic service. Dr Sullivan does not have admitting rights to a public hospital. If you agree to have surgery with Dr Sullivan you will be admitted as a private patient and be personally managed by him.
